The Viofo A119 V3 seems quite popular on this Forum and elsewhere (and well regarded) so I bought one and had it fitted by a mobile auto electrician* yesterday.
The hardwire kit has a battery protector for parking mode with voltage option (I chose a 12.4V switch off) which impressed the auto electrician.
Setting up gives several options, and the Viofo manual (online) is out of date and incorrect/sparse on explanation of several of the current options offered by the latest V2.6 firmware. An online search of third parties postings rendered varying advice on options to select, many out of date with the current firmware.
After some homework I came up with these selections which I post either: (i) for corrective suggestions from the knowledgeable; or (ii) to help others in the same shoes I was in yesterday when the Viofo was first installed.
Incidentally, I am now considering fitting a second one at the rear of the California, wired with the 12.4v cut off, direct to the rear leisure battery.
