Thule Wanderweg 2 mount issues

Having trouble with mounting the Thule Wanderway 2. See pics. I regularly remove the rack when we don't need it or to wash our Cali. With each re-mount the bottom right fastening mechanism doesn't sit properly. The tightening screw and its bolt easily slips out of its mount and is getting close to possibly damaging the Cali's paint. I've tried sliding the whole rack a bit to the right and left with the idea that I'm not aligning it properly on the rear hatch. But this only seems to happen on the bottom right mount.
Any tips/thoughts are welcome.
