When traveling in Sweden and Germany it's easy to fill up at the service point at the gas station with a hose. They don't seem to bother if you fill diesel there. In Austria to my surprise they don't have the normal tire and water service points at the gas stations
At least not the three I visited and the camp grounds are also stingy if you just want to fill up water and note use the other facilities.
It's was - 15 here so I have to empty the tank to avoid freezing.
So where do you fill the water tank in Austria and Italy, in France it's less of a problem as I understand it.

We don't have a hose but a 10l can. This will fill the tank in 4 trips and is often quicker than deploying a hose. It can also be used as an extra water supply or left nearly full in freezing conditions so there is water if you drain the tank. And it can be filled from any tap, including those you cannot drive near to.

Ended up with a collapsable 10L can filled up at washrooms etc.. Works ok, takes a bit of time running and filling.

Same on the 10L collapsable from Amazon. Folds into our spacemate. Most UK sites have dedicated points so more for long trips and days out to save tap faff.
