I guess it’s not going anywhere any time soon. Driveway camping only.

I deliberated. But, what the hell, it's only beer money and I'm not spending that and you never know, that "essential" journey might arise and I wouldn't like to be tempted to become a law breaker.

Surely it is better to get the van out for a shopping trip rather than leave it sitting idle, possibly do more damage to the van not moving it ??
vehicle duty tax saving vs ????

I can’t, I can’t MOT it, so I can’t tax it. I’m stuck in Cape Town. It’ll survive parked for 6 months. It’s plugged in.

When I had spine surgery 2 years ago my Ocean wasn’t driven for several months. I put on hook up at least once a month for 24 hours, and got a neighbour to start the engine and let it run for 20 mins every few weeks. All was fine. I was pleasantly surprised and relieved.

I Tax mine on a monthly basis, it costs a few quid more but it’s easier to SORN. Then if I need it back on the road just tax it again. At the moment taking your vehicle out for a “Run” is not on the cards and probably a £200 fine..Putting it on charge once a month should keep the batteries nicely topped up.

Only legal option is to Sorn it.

looked like you chose to Sorn it as financial saving on VED from the heading.
