Personally thought it a bit overated and preferred the road down to Lysebotn at the top of Lysefjord.

its a shame such an amazing place was on such a sing show. I tried to watch it but I couldn't cope and turned it off.

We spent the night there on that top ,very quite at night

Was there last summer - stunning. We had a bonus too - it was deserted. This is August 17th at lunch, time!.

Don't plan your trip to Norway too early... Due to a dead gearbox on the second day of our trop we were delayed by 5 days so we luckily missed this moment:

In 2017 it was even at the end of May before the road needed a last cleanup

But be prepared to see large busses with tourists blocking the road and/or the view.
