Tow bar fitting with pre wired 1D7 factory pre wired option

Last week I booked my new T6 ocean with 134 miles on the clock to have a tow bar and full 13 pin electrics fitted was quoted 3 hours work as I have the electrics pre wired or so I though ( under drivers seat is a label 1D7 and in my service book it says fitted 1D7 confirmed by VW Milton Keynes technical department to my dealer
I arrived at my dealer at 7-45am and it was placed on his ramp at 8am the wiring and plugs are not in the location provided nor is the 2 plugs supplied to give 13 connections they are now talking about removal off the seats and sink fridge and wardrobe and water tanks and gas system to find the missing wiring you can imagine what will happen and I am unhappy at 6pm tonight I have had to get a taxi home leaving the vehicle

I called another dealership and spoke to a guy who said ah what you have to do is to de pin one connector and if you want 12v to feed your caravan you need to rewire all of those features when I asked about the towing stability feature he said we don't wire that know body will know my dealer was unhappy about this and asked VW to put this in writing to him
It is possible that the dealer will not be able to program this stability control as its a very new feature

Can I ask is there anyone who has had full electrics fitted on a new March built T6 Ocean had a full tow bar and electrics fitted and can confirm all the wires work , ( I do understand that you now require an adaptor from 13 pin down to the old 7 pin

we are booked to go away on sat and now looks as if we are not going would welcome as much help to pass on to the dealer information to help

When your Dealership were looking for the Pre-wired terminal sockets, did they look in the Rear Leisure Battery compartment?
If they didn't then I suggest you get a new Dealership.
As far as the 2nd Dealership is concerned - definitely change.

I am surprised the dealer actually asked his techs to fit the tow-bar, most seem to give the job to a local specialist fitter who has the experience and knowledge to do the job.

well its a vw approved kit 2 plugs and 13 pins in the socket if it is where Wesh Gas says I did not see it but it makes sence hence the 1 hour quoted it feels out though a hole on n/s at the bottom and around to the socket
I want a full hook up plus all the features I have purchased including the braking and stability control
my only ray of hope is welsh gas is correct which I am sure he is but why did not VW tec support say it is located at xyz that's what they are there for

Don't know if this helps but my March delivered Ocean had tow bar and electrics factory fitted and all is well. Electrics all work with bike rack fitted to tow bar. (must remember not to leave Ocean number plate on bike rack when using it on the car - like I did on weekend...sorry officer)

thanks it does seem that they do work and once they find the missing wire , I told them to keep looking that was over an hour ago and no call back so guess no news could be good news
