We will be travelling from Aarhus in Denmark to Lyon in France. Any ideas about where to stop on the way? We want to try and avoid the motways.
Help appreciated.

I would really recommend trying Belgium, Antwerp, Ghent, Brussells, Bruges. May struggle to avoid all motorways though.

Yes we also stayed at Memling.

In Antwerp we stayed at Camping de Molen, a bit tired but great location for access to the city. It is inside the city but walkable to the town and a free ferry across the river is available.
