Trim on the cab roof for a pop top van

I was wondering if someone could have a look at their van for me and let me know how yours is fixed.
On my california generation theres a black rubber strip fixed to the front of the cab just above the windscreen, i presume to deflect the air away from the pop top join. While washing my van this weekend I noticed the middle part of this strip is loose with only the two sides stuck down with what looks like Sika flex. Is this correct or should this strip be fixed all the way across?
Any help would be great as the last thing I want is to loose it while traveling down the motorway!

Not near my van so can't double check, but pretty sure it is fixed across it's whole length.
