It might be interesting to know if there's much variety of tyre specifications and brands on newly delivered Californias.

Mine on Ocean 204 4motion DSG are Bridgestone Turanza ER 300 235/55/R17 103V.

Same vehicle as me but different tyres. There was a theory on here that it was based upon whatever happened to be around at the time! It'll be interesting to see if we get any more variety or whether we discern some deeper logic at play.

Manufacturers generally pool from about 3 tyre brands per model/ spec, as one runs out they switch to the next and so on.

My van is exactly the same spec and has the same Bridgestone tyres fitted.

Mine has just arrived with Goodyear vectors too...

My brand new California 150/DSG, deliverd last week, has Continental ContiVanContact 215/60R 17 C 109/107T tyres on Cascavel alloy wheels. A month ago I tested a T6 with the same specs, same alloys, but with Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 235/55R 17 103 W. I noticed a much smoother ride with the 235/55, wich may not be a surprise since the tyre pressure for 235/55 is 44 psi (3,0 bar) and for the 215/60, 54 psi (3,7 bar). For me, the higher pressure is the reason for the more bumpy ride. Anyone who experienced the same?

I have a 150 dsg beach fitted with Continental ContiVanContact 210 215/60R 17 C 109/107T 104H, with the Cascavel alloys. I must say the ride is very quiet . The wheels will be up for sale tho as soon as Vw release the new Sportline wheels in black.

According to my dealer, there should be no problem to lower tyre pressure to about 44-46 psi (3,0-3,2 bar), even if 53-54 pis (3,7 bar) is recommended (?).

Be aware - fuel consumption will be worse and tyre wear may be greater.

I could be interested in your Cascaval, when they come on sale – drop me a line then ;-)

Hi, I'd also be interested in your Cascavel alloys, So keep me in mind when your ready to change them :)

Did anyone get a T6 with 18" rims? What are the 18" standard tyres? I'm trying to figure out what tyres to buy and want the most standard setup. I too am swapping out my 17" Cascavel black diamond turned for the 18" Springfields I originally wanted.

Our T6 Ocean 4Motion with 150 kW 18" Toluca came with Hankook tyres
