Underseat trim missing?

After my retrim on Monday, I observed for the first time two apparently missing valence panels below the seats (only obvious when the seats are turned). I first thought that DK Schweitzer had left them on their bench but they confirmed not.

There are obvious slots/connectors for a valence, but perhaps these are left off by the factory because of the seat turn mechanism? Do other T6.1 Ocean owners have valences panels here?

Same here with a 22 model Coast. It’s obvious from the photos in the brochure and from the slots in the sides of the seats that the intention was to put blanking/trim panels on the front of each of the front seats. It’s really obvious when the seat are turned around into the van. I’ve asked the local dealer about this. Firstly there is a panel shown on the parts diagram but they told me they’re not fitted to help with cooling /ventilation. A few other forum members commented that their vehicle was the same. ( updated with glasses on).

When I saw this last year I put it down to "never knew, never would have noticed". I'd say the same now - we never look that far down and it's possible you only are that bothered by it because you're looking at that area in detail now because of the new covers.

Why do you want them on? Can't say it enhances that area in any way TBH.

@dspuk, I think this is a ‘time will tell’. There are things which you quickly get used to, but others that continue to bother (for example the steering column rattle which, cross fingers, I may have finally cured). So I might try a warranty approach, and the above photo from @Philfox3 will be helpful thanks.

For the moment whilst I am not bothered in seat forward mode, when rotated to face backwards the gap is pretty obvious plus the seat leathers, because I think they are thicker, kick the trims out but they look like they would straighten with the fourth side of the valence.

Cool. Warranty approach will very likely be a duff. They clearly not UK spec and the brochure always says images are indicative only.

Nice seats by the way. Did the company that supplied and fitted them give you good service. I’m thinking to use them for my covers.
