We picked up our new Cali SE from Breeze Volkswagen in Poole this afternoon and the smile hasn't left my face! Big thanks to David Voke at Breeze who gave us a really clear and detailed handover and thank you to the Forum Members who have put together such a comprehensive information source! We can't wait to get the van stocked with our bits and pieces and to get out there on the road!

We hope to come to the meet on Saturday. We will be the evident newbies trying to work out where to put our 7 month old to sleep- we are reckoning on a travel cot sitting on the front seats when they are facing each other. Perhaps if you see our number plate it might be worth heading to the other end of the field!!?!

Thank you all very much for all the advice. We look forward to meeting some of you- thanks to the forum shop for inka covers and sticker.

Welcome and enjoy! The smiling doesn't stop :D

Looks great. You'll have a farm full of experts to cross examine too. ☺Have fun. We're still smiling after 2800 miles in just over 3 months, 18 nights away. ..

Ahh, so it was your Salsa Red van I saw the other day. A good choice, was very envious.

Enjoy

Alan

7mth old - put them on the parcel shelf - seriously , you can then sleep upstairs. Or travel cot up in the roof bed which worked really well for us, you can unzip the side to post them in and out. Both approaches worked for us and now at 2.5 she sleep upstairs in her own little exciting cave, we just take a bit of stair gate with us which fits over the hatch in case she decides to go for a wander !

Thanks All! Good thought NZCol - My best plan to date had been to turn the front seats round to face each other and to put the cot on those, (leaving the vehicle in gear!...), but I think I sway towards your experienced options! AlanC the colour was picked for me really as I went with the cheapest van they had on their order books at 30th March!, and then thankfully was really impressed with the spec it came with! BT Premium, Comfort Mattress, MF steering wheel, RNS315 and sensors. We are not a needy bunch!

Stick her upstairs, then you can use the van as normal , even on the parcel shelf it works well, you just rig up a curtain from the overhead drawer using a towel ! Nice and dark & cosy plus easy to get to.

Welcome! Enjoy smiling and as said before it won't stop! Have fun!

Nzcol - I took your advice and it was defo the right place to put her! Your advice was gratefully received, I just chuckled an awful lot after waking in the morning to her crying, stumbling out of the van and opening the boot. It suddenly dawned on me that I should have checked that she hadn't rolled towards the boot opening 'before' opening it. ........one of those things which will only happen once!! Lol!
