Hi all just got my new Cali, bought a nice quad lock mag charger for my iPhone and got it all mounted nicely and the cable supplied with the quad lock is a usb c out of the charger to a standard USB A, I used an adaptor to plug into the USB c connectors by the drink holder but it will not power it. Any ideas please. I have plugged it into the usb socket behind passenger seat and it all works so so the front usb c outputs only do data they do not power?

Let me know if anyone has any ideas

Thanks

Seems strange to me. Same with both ports on the van? I had to wiggle mine a bit to create some tension but has been fine since.

Just tried another brand new Samsung phone USB C to C cable and the mag charger will still not charge

Hi there, having the same issue with Quad Lock charge head using iPhone 15 Pro. Was there ant resolve to this issue?

I found the USB-A ports on my Ocean were unable to supply enough current to my iPhone 15 Pro to charge; the phone wanted more power than the circuit was willing to provide (although my previous phone, an iPhone 12, was fine as is my works iPhone XR). In the end I used a 12v cig socket to USB converter (a good quality one) and plug it into either the 12v socket in the roof or by the gearstick and that’s worked flawlessly.

Get a cigarette lighter adapter and plug it in on top of the dash. I had the same problem, it’s something to do with the charging and comms combined. I now use a cable from phone to usbc and it works fine. Trying your way also messes up CarPlay etc

Apologies for repeating your post, we were typing at the exact same time

Thanks for the feedback. The phone Quad Lock holder I have has an induction charging head, so not plugging cable into the phone - into the charging head. The USB-C output can charge the phone (iPhone 15 Pro) but doesn't work on the charging head. I have attached the power input specs for the charging head, but cannot find anywhere on the internet what the T6.1 Cali USB-C outputs are?? Does anyone know? Is there sufficient power output in the USB-C to run this charging head?
