Hi.

I wonder if someone can help..?

Iwant to be able to use all the 230V sockets off grid.

I understand that some use a powebank (Jackery or Bluetti) plugged onto the EHU and this seams to work ok when I plug my current small jackery power bank in. This is good.

BUT

When plugged in there is a 100W-200W load on the power pack which I’m guessing is down to the charger for the leisure battery. Obviously it is silly to charge the leisure battery from a power pack. How can I stop this happening. Ie switch off the LB charger when the power pack is plugged into the EHU.

Any help greatfully received.

Hi
You can either unplug the charger, kettle style lead Under the passenger seat
Or turn off circuit breaker in the utility cupboard in the garage of van.
I think it’s the right most one, but could be wrong. One is for 240v wall plugs in the van and the other for both the Roof AC unit (if you have it fitted) and 12v charger

I got Wago connectors and wiring and fitted an isolator switch in the power feed coming from the circuit breaker to do same thing. I fitted isolator in more accessible location under rear shower connecor.
Gordon Hutchison has put together usefull guides in the files section of UK grand California Facebook group describing this as part of more elaborate system
