Vango Kela fouling on the sliding door

Try discarding the Kador strip
Slide figure 8 onto Kela and then simply place the other side of figure 8 on top of the side awning cover.

Wind awning out slightly to place figure 8 strip on top and then wind it back in to gently secure the figure 8 strip into position, to prevent it from sliding side to side.

This will raise the height of the Kela above the sliding door and makes for simple attachment / removal from your Cali.

Best wishes

My only reservation with this would be how much strain would it put on the top edge of the wind out awning and the possibility of scratching the top rail

Interesting thread and might try this option too. Our issue though is slightly different but thought here would be place to get thoughts.
We have a Vango Palm, used it a couple of times last year and then our attempts at 1st trip since Lockdown we struggled to get the right fix. Our first attempt left the drivers door ‘out of use’ as it was too far forward... we moved the whole awning to the back about 10 inches which worked. Also in the Kadar kit there are 3 sections which overlap the drive away awning (stick out from ends) is this the way it should be... should we cut and shorten it ?
Also don’t seem to get the ‘tunnel section as close to van as we would like .. or is that as it should be ?

Thinking about just using some bungee cord, fixed to the driveaway and looping it over the van awning, if not I will be trying the methods here. Great info on tensioning the tunnel, great thread overall!
