We stayed at Flower Camping Le Frejus in November 2017. The second worst campsite we stayed on.

There are limited options in winter, and we chose the site as it boasted a heated indoor pool, heated washrooms and we had a good experience at Flower Camping Le Bimbo on the Atlantic Coast.

The staff were rude, showers barely warm, the site unkempt and the location miles from anywhere useful. However, the heated indoor pool was rather good. The ACSI price of €17 per night (including children) was not unreasonable, and Clare managed to get this knocked down to €13 by complaining about the showers - the manager insisted they were hot, and turned to another couple checking out to confirm his assertion. They told him plainly that the showers were not hot.

The Darth Vader balloon was made in Bristol and has been flown all over the world, but this was it's first flight over Bristol, the city that Vader himself, David Prowse, called home.

Used to be a quiet windsurfing option, back in the days when, to quote the car stickers “Hayling is like Hawaii”.

Used to be a quiet windsurfing option, back in the days when, to quote the car stickers “Hayling is like Hawaii”.

They were out in force in the gales a few days ago, leaping over the waves like yogic flyers. I’ve been coming to Hayling since the 60s and before windsurfing became the sport it is now.
