This summer we spent two weeks on the Swedish Island Gotland.
Two weeks of free camping next to the ocean.
Here we slept one night:

In the morning we felt the van was rocking really bad, we heard no wind and the boys where sleeping on top. I opened up the curtain to this view:

Cows licking water off the van. Chewing on the tires of our bikes. I sent out my wife who is grown up on a farm to scare them away. Worked for two minutes. My youngest son aged 10 where yelling from the top bed, use the horn dad. That worked perfectly well. Next to use a woman slept with her son in and old DHL van, Mercedes Sprinter. The cows started licking on that one instead. Unfortunately their horn is nowhere near the volume of the Californias so they where not frightened off at all. Some honking on hours later they left.

Van looks lovely, What size and type wheels are they and is it lowered?
Ive got a 204 DSG 4 Motion Ocean and am thinking of lowering and new wheels but have read that its not suitable for 20inch wheels.
Looked at a few threads on here but no definitive answers.

Campingplatz Schloss Aigen, 15 min bike ride to Salzburg, 15€ per night. I’ve been living in the van in Austria for 5 weeks now, total freedom. Sunday I have tickets for the Mozart Clarinet Concerto at the Salzburg Festival, re: my forum name.

The van has been great. However, most of the stupid clips which hold the roof trim to the underside of the roof bed have snapped off. Judging by the coments on the Forum, I’m not the only one. Sigh.

On Thursday our ferry was to sail to Finland, on the Monday before Finland closed its borders for travellers from NL and then Wednesday the same week Norway did the same... So, no Lapponia trip this year!
Now we are in the Alps, this is above Lac de Serre-Ponçon. Tomorrow pass and tunnel de Parpaillon!
