Skipness castle, and lunch looking out to Isle of Arran.
Managed to spot a sea otter running along the rocks, just wasn’t quick enough to snap it.

Also bumped into a lovely local who offered me the use of there washing machine and bath, not sure what she was implying!

@4x4 joker
Once she’d got you in the bath and your clothes in the washer she may have run off with your van :)

Cycled the Monsal Trail from Wyedale to Bakewell (and back). Great weather and fabulous views. Staying at Beech Croft Farm campsite - really nice small site with excellent facilities. Power, Water and TV at each pitch. Well positioned for walking Chee Dale Gorge and cycling the Monsal Trail.

Got to watch seals and pretty sure I saw some whales too!

Spot the seal, there was about 4 playing there for ages.

On the way out of the Dolomites, last nights park up was warmer…… only -7 degrees slowly making my way towards Venice and then to Tuscany via San Marino

The other night watching the sunset across the water from Jura.

Lazy afternoon having some fun on Google maps trying to figure out where you were parked up on Jura @4x4 joker . No roads on the west coast of Jura that I could see. Then I twigged you were probably on the Kintyre peninsula looking towards Jura, not on Jura. Maybe somewhere near Seal Point?

Was going to say looked more like from Kilberry or up that way. The A83 down the west side of Kintyre is a proper 2 lane road with white lines down the middle.

For real fun try the road up to Kintyre lighthouse.

I fell asleep on that road, but the other side B842 was stunning.
Had a great view of the lighthouse in the distance, didn’t go there as it was getting dark when I was in Campbeltown.

Even the B842 is considerably better than it used to be & seem to be a lot less mad max wannabe logging drivers.
The food whether takeaway or eat in at The Glen Bar on the B842 at Carradale is highly recommended.

Everywhere is empty and shut at the mo, only the brave out and about very few campers.
Got some local seaweed soap from Carradale post office/shop:thumb

Its not much different in the middle of summer.

Cotswolds this weekend to see how we get on & work out where to put stuff.
Easter will be Cornwall
May will be Carradale
Couple of other long weekends booked
Summer not decided yet - wife fancies Venice maybe do that on the way somewhere else.

You won’t know yourself with all that extra space!
Little tip don’t stuff the roof bed area with loads of bits, make sure you have a good air flow.

The roof bed will be stuffed with a twelve year old, a duvet, iPad & I phone. We might need to throw food up occasionally but other than that, that area will be left alone.
Any moaning about wanting to be left home with her considerably older siblings will be ignored completely.

Camping permit thing kicked in 1st March so be careful where you park up.
Hi @4x4 joker
How does this permit scheme work in practice. If you book a spot in advance how is that place physically reserved for you?
