Blimey, looks a bit more upmarket than when we stayed there in 2014. It’s a beautiful place and was/is an example of how a community site should be

The local owners had many plans for the site with community backing. It was hard standing last time we visited with a new shower block. A far cry from the old free grass field, rutted and boggy.

We’ve arrived in Scourie - and it’s unbelievably beautiful. Plus we’ve got to have the most amazing “pitch with a view” we’ve ever had. The drive here was breathtaking, and looking over the ocean while cooking and having our meal was the icing on the cake.
