Voice control on navigation

I have just bought a California ocean 2023 and when I use voice control for the navigation although it is set on uk it comes back in German has anyone else have this problem

Have you used the Sat Nav before? If not, the choice of Country may be set to Germany.
Try setting a destination manually and ensure the Country is set to UK.

My Volvo did this after we had been to France.

My 24 plate Ocean keeps finding places in Germany too, I put it down to the voice control being poor compared to my 10 year old Volvo, tried looking for a way to force it to UK no luck, if anyone has any pointers that would be good.

I have been in touch with the Volkswagen garage and they say that Volkswagen will send an update but don’t know when

Oh WOW yes yes yes that happens to me I thought it was just me. It had driven me mad I have tried everything but I can’t work it out.

You are NOT alone that’s exactly what I get. I have tried setting the country code as has been suggested but it makes NO difference

So how did you get your voice activated sat nav to work?

Mine is a T6 , different system to 6.1

Using car play , Press the voice button either on the MFSW or head unit & it works as it should.

Try contacting Sat Nav systems Surbiton. Very very Knowledgeable (mention the forum )

I can get my sat nav voice control working fine using Apple CarPlay but the issue is with the inbuilt VW sat nav by voice control.
I’ll contact them thanks.
