Just noticed that this month Which Motorhome has a 5 page review of the Beach.

You can buy it online from here

For copyright reasons, I obviously won't repeat the whole review here, but at the end, it get's 3 out of 5 stars, with the closing comment "Great design and high-quality build with huge beds and superb elevating roof, but it is (sic) really a camper?"

No - it is not a camper it is not trying to be - it's a multi purpose vehicle with the ability to camp should it be required.

The problem in this country is there seems to be very rigid ideas on what vehicles must be. This simply doesn't happen anywhere else - the idea of having a vehicle to occasionally go away in is one that most other countries appear ro be comfortable with - hence the healthy sales of vehicles like the Beach.

For me, personally, I love the idea of an everyday vehicle that can do everything from get to me work, manage the weekly shop, ferry people about and the occasional tip run...

With the ability to just go away if required, also, it's unique, fun and something different. The Beach is not perfect and you have to make some sacrifices - it's a van really and as much as it's nice to drive, it's still a van, and the equipment level is one that favours the options list but it's vehicle that has many uses, and that is its remit and what makes it good value for the money in some senses. You're not just buying a car or a van that does one thing.

Again, for me, when I've spent upwards of 30k, I need what I buy to be multi purpose in the truest sense of that word.
