VW California T6 roof component

Hello all - I've just realised my roof was slightly elevated on one side. I re-raised it and found a plastic clip from the metal assembly, which has obviously dropped off and jammed in the mechanism.I've attached a photo of the side which still has the clip to show you which part I mean. Does anyone know what it's purpose is, and should I be concerned with replacing it? Many thanks.

Broken plastic lug on mechanism

Anyone know where to get one of these and is it important. It clips around the scissor at the end. I'm thinking my roof moves about a bit disturbing that small piece of helicopter tape as in the pic. Personally I would replace it. Correct closing of the roof is incredibly sensitive to how well that part of the scissor mechanism locates in the hook on the rail on the underside of the roof. Plus its really cheap to replace.

Thanks Louis - I've just emailed the dealer to get a replacement one. At first glance I thought it just blocked the hole in the metalwork for some reason, but clearly more important!
