Had one of these retro fitted by Hazy Dayz http://www.vwcruise.com/7.html together with the VW bluetooth. Very helpful people did it whilst I waited. Highly recommended. Total cost was £1670 with 3 year warranty & 3 year map updates.
Not used satnav on a long journey yet, but so far works well with accurate eta & sensible routing. Managed to suss out loading speed camera database with help of internet, but it will not give any sort of warning of cameras ahead.
Stereo does not sound as good as the original 310, maybe just me. Doesn't have program & track info on screen like 310. Has around 28Gb hard drive space for mp3 music.
Not tried a dvd in it yet, screen is a tad small for films. Use my laptop with sound plugged into aux in.
At present very pleased with it.
