VW T6 Cali - Elevate shelves in cupboard?

I would like to elevate the shelves some centimeters in the cupboard under the sink. But there are no holes, and the pegs have an oval support. Is there any easy way to do this?

When I fitted the drawers I moved the shelf to the other side, use a small drill bit with a depth stop to make sure you dont drill through into something on the other side, the pegs fitted fine in round holes.

Okay... The new pegs have an oval side to fit in the wall. But I might use the old ones to do this.
