Fed up of scrolling through eBay, pistohead, gumtree, autotrader, etc ferry booked and urgently need a 2010 facelift 140bhp 4 berth Cali budget 30k ........talk to me ? :headbang

Hi Sandpit, I didn't know the facelift California's were that cheap were they, the cheapest Ive seen is around £35k? I think you might have to stretch your budget, especially this time of the year, demand gets very high once the sun comes out. Good luck with your search :thumb

I've followed the market closely for over 6 months now, doing the same as you. Oli is right, £35K is nearer the mark. Calis really do hold their value. This in turn makes buying new (if you have the dosh!) a more sensible idea than usual when buying a four-wheeled lump of metal.

Afraid I have to agree, I had a similar budget and a similar goal, 2010 facelift. That was a year ago. I was waiting for them to come down to my budget. Needless to say the extra year of saving and a bit of budget stretching later and I moved to the Cali, it didn't come to me!

Unless of course a Beach will work for you? These are well within your reach :thumb

Thanks for all the good advice, I guess I was looking for the well used 30,000 + miler but in reality they are mainly used for holiday vans and have minimum miles and higher prices.
If I stretched to the £34,000 region and put 10,000 miles on her in a year what's the drop this time next year? :thanks

I did a similar thing, looked for a year but in the end just had to bump up my budget (I was a bit picky on spec tho).

Mileage didn't seem to affect prices too much - I'd think adding 10k to an existing 20 or 30k miler van over a year won't make any discernible difference, other than normal depreciation (I think poss because the base vehicle T5 vans are normally worked well over 100,000 miles, they're well proven). As a 2010 would be coming out of warranty soon though, that may affect resale a bit IMO.

if you could compromise on not having a facelift van you would be ready to buy. In a few years time when t6's are here the difference between pre and post facelift won't be so great
