Warranty cover when importing from EU

I am in the process of buying a Grand California from a German VW dealer. I have been reading the small print and come across a section on warranty. It doesn’t specifically mention the warranty extending to the UK.
My question
Anyone who has imported, since we left the EU, have you had any issues with the warranty transfer to the UK?

Pretty sure before Brexit warranties were pan European. Our Nissan ones were, which was always a challenge with grey imports. Since then not sure but having checked the UK site it is very specific that the VW warranty is UK only, so one imagines that works both ways. Either way the dealer should answer the question for you definitively.

I'm pretty sure VW have a 2 Yr universal warranty, but in the UK the 3 Yr warranty is made up of 2 yrs VW and the 3rd Yr is VW UK.
So you should have 2 yrs warranty but not the 3rd year.
