Waste inspection thingy

Had a leak from the round inspection thingy under the sink, I think due to forgetting to empty the waste tank. I unscrewed the round cover and it is cracked. Anyone had this before and although it is a 2010 Cali should it be replaced under warranty? Photo's enclosed :thanks

Ours is cracked also as it was impossible to remove, it felt like it was glued?

The dealer could not find a part number for it so I just put it back on broken!

Same happened to us. Ordered a replacement via the dealer.

Ours was cracked, discovered when we smelt a rancid smell caused by it leaking, so ordered a replacement from the main dealer a couple of years ago.

That is really useful, thank you. I took the part number to Cardiff Sinclair VW, not (ahem) always the most California-informed of organisations, and they promise the part will arrive tomorrow. £11.

Although looking at the part it's not clear why it should have cracked quite so comprehensively, but as that's the first thing that's gone wrong in 5 years of Cali ownership I'm not going to worry.
