Hi, we are waiting for our new GC 600 and getting everything bought and ready. Would anyone be able to tell us the diameter of the waste outlet on the grey tank (the tap under the van)? We want to be able to run a pipe to the drain on static pitches. We have had 2 GC’s that went back as they had so many defects, should have measured up before their return! Third time lucky hopefully.
Thanks, Alun

Hi Calfe600, I just measured the diameter of the gray water drain pipe: exactly 2 inches.

But take away a curiosity: I also tried to have my GC600 replaced as it has a lot of problems, water infiltrations, etc. but the Swiss importer pretends not to understand.

How did you manage to get it replaced 3 times? Perhaps in the UK the VW importer is smarter and cares about their customers ...

thanks and happy holidays

Hi, thanks for measuring for us. Regarding returning the Grand Cali’s (2 of them), the first didn’t have electric heating fitted at all so was a factory mis build and not as sold, the second had leaks, holes in skylight blinds, pump probs, headlights stopped working, SOS system expired, Wi-Fi didn’t work and quite a few more issues….. Took it to an independent specialist for a report on way back from first outing and then rejected it. VW UK were very good indeed, dealer not so. We think it was built by apprentices in a rush to go home on a Friday afternoon!

Thank you for your reply, I'll insist with AMAG AG (Swiss VW Dealer) in order to change my one.

Very best of luck, UK law gives a 30 day window for formal rejection but VW UK agreed to refund on basis of my list of faults and the fact that an independent expert concurred.
