Hello,
We just had a very strong rain shower, just for 5 minutes. As soon as it stopped I needed to check the camper - and yes there were drops on 2x clips of the brake lights:
This happened on both sides. The cables in the middle are dry.
2x weeks ago the issue started after a rain shower. It dropped from the cabinet (light) driver side onto the bed. I contacted my VW dealer to report this issue, but couldn't prove it because I didn't take any pictures. This time I did.
I am not entirely happy. The repair seems to be substantial, at least 2x cabinets (the back one and the one on the passenger side) has to be taken out. Reading up some posts from Caliboard it seems that some users reported continuing issues even after the repair through their VW dealer. It seems that the Volkswagen repair guidelines are not as fail prove as they should be.
I was wondering if this happened on your Grand California and did your VW dealer repaired it. How long did it take? Did it happen again?
Regards,
Eberhard
