Hi Team, I have just drained the fresh and grey water ready for this weeks cold spell. Under the pax seat in the fuse panel there are two 5 amp fuses, neither of which disable the pump. Also my fuse box looks different to the ones in the downloads section on the forum.

Does any one have any idea where it might be? or maybe has it been upgraded from 5 amp?

As it happens, just as the fresh water was running dry I tried the pump and about a second later the Pump Protection ‘tinged’ on the display panel….. so do I even need to remove the fuse at all. (btw I have seen this before when draining the tank, it seems to reset after a few litres put in the water tank)

Many thanks in advance

Also……… like a fool I removed the one in the longer fuse holder before I took the photo…… I think I put it back where it came from (meaning if you know otherwise please say). I have put doubt in my own mind as to whether it might have been in the 2nd slot along

The removal of the fuse is to allow the tap to be opened , without the pump operating , to allow any water in the tap and pipes to drain back into the tank, so it doesn't freeze in the pipes.
There is a connector close to the tap, under the sink, follow the wires from the tap, which if disconnected will do the same as removing the fuse.

Thanks @WelshGas. Do you think I need to anyway as the pump protection allowed me to keep the tap open as it happens.

Also, in the event of needing it, any idea where the fuse actually is?

As long as there is a metal connector at both ends of the fuse then it is in the correct slot.
The other slots that are empty only have 1 or No metal connectors.

As long as you can open the tap without the pump running then that is OK. Water will drain back.

But both out…. Pump still runs

The fuse is normally under the L hand seat. It will be low amp 5 or 7.5amps.

Oh that’s interesting, so looking at the photo the two slots between the 5 and the 20 are dummy slots? (metal on left side only?)

Took a look for a wiring connector to the tap (6.1) and nothing found. A connector for the waste tank level switch is there, and a few cupboard lighting connectors. The tap connector looks well hidden unfortunately.

On previous vehicles it was wrapped in foam and pushed up on the R hand side between the sink and front kitchen panel.
Follow the wires from the underside of the tap.

Thanks @WelshGas its still in the same location - just need to fish for it with you finger a bit. As it’s now comfortably minus C today, thought I’d best give it a go

So, I’ve disconnected the tap and blown the water out the tap back to the tank - nothing fancy, just cupped my mouth around the tap and blew - must sanitise before use!

On the first try I heard a gurgling and when I stopped blowing the air came back out the tap with more gurgling. Then I removed the fresh water filler cap and did the same - no gurgles and no air came back out. So I guess that pipe is 100% empty now.

For others, some photos below. You need to remove the cutlery drawer, which is easy - 2 pull catches as shown below.

Thanks for these photos and post. Our water pump stopped working but managed to get it going again by fiddling with the switch in the foam under the sink. Very grateful for that tip.
