Massive change on visibility when cornering. You do wonder why halogens are the standard fit on VWs. We will be going this way for sure! EDIT - now on order, ready for a trip over the Channel.Sorry I forgot to report back. Yeah very easy to do and no errors on the dash
I cable tied the driver units to stop any annoying rattles
New one on the drivers side to show the difference

I’ve just fitted these Autobeam bulbs - they look good. One thing I’m nervous of is, whereas the OEM bulbs are a tight / positive fit when you quarter turn them, the tab fitting on the Autobeam bulb turn (so you can orientate the led) so I feel they’re “just” gripping. Not sure if they’ll survive a speed bump / pothole!Campervan Time installed them (granted not on a T6.1 but.....)
Yes pretty much. Same bulbs. The left hand one was a bit trickier to get at the plug - more stuff in the way. I used tie wraps to support the weight of the electronics block - attached to other local wiring. Was the installation as simple as on the MANs video above? Also an H11?
I found that gripping the "bulb housing" when twisting and not just the central LED part I was able to mount it tightly.Yes pretty much. Same bulbs. The left hand one was a bit trickier to get at the plug - more stuff in the way. I used tie wraps to support the weight of the electronics block - attached to other local wiring.
I’m going to have another look at the fitting of the new leds though - just not happy they’re properly clicked in (per Wills video ).
Excellent....looks much betterJust had another go. This time I put a ‘tiny’ drop of lube behind each of the 3 little flanges and then pushed the bulb extra hard into the housing and gave it a quick clockwise twist. It’s now fully home.
