What have you bought for your Cali today :-)

EcoFlow 220w bifacial foldable solar panel (gen2)

No photos as yet, but I have finally bitten the bullet an bought a solar panel from solar camper solutions. I will be diverting on a trip to Cornwall via Taunton to get Roger to fit it due to A- my average stature and B- lack of step ladder. Then I will be off for off grid fun and festivals without having to put out my Dokio (which is great but has some downsides). Does everyone with roof solar park rear to the South? If given an option I currently position with the near side North facing to keep the fridge cool or in the climate crisis changed weather in the shade.

A sh*t load of goodies from Amazon:

- Headrest tablet holder https://amzn.eu/d/2qwnokU
- Mosquito nets for driver and passenger windows https://amzn.eu/d/j47TjPh
- Cheap mosquito net for sliding door https://amzn.eu/d/iQfYQx8
- Cheap mosquito net for trunk https://amzn.eu/d/gCxIDeX
- Another cigarette lighter extension with 3x 12v cigarette plug, USB-A and USB-C charging https://amzn.eu/d/3HOalVZ, fitted at the cupboard (my T5 has a cigarette lighter plug, not USB)
- Set of 4 felt boxes https://amzn.eu/d/6fdXAB2, two in the cupboard in the rear (lower two shelves) and two in the left cupboard under the gas stove

I know good mosquito nets for the sliding door and trunk are normally expensive because they are probably better quality. I already have to say that the one for the trunk is a bit snug fit while the one for the sliding door is a bit oversized in width. But time will tell if cheap was a bad choice or not. For the time being, better than nothing!

For aspiring Cadac owners there's some voucher stacking discounts to be had with some models at the moment.

BBQ World (I'd never heard of them before today) have a sale on. I'd had my eye on the "2 cook 3 pro" as an upgrade to the trusty Campingaz Chef for a while. They have the Cadac at £90, with a 10% discount code bringing it down to £81.
Go Outdoors does price match +10%, making for a very affordable £72 at the till:

I thought I'd give this thread a bump as I used the Cadac for the first time this week and was very impressed. On checking back over the thread and links I see that Go Outdoors currently have the upgraded version "Cadac 2 Cook 3 Pro Deluxe QR" for sale at a very reasonable £99. (see Go Outdoors link in original post).
The hot plates and coffee stand are excellent additions to the basic version and the quick release gas connection is great for packing efficiently without the gas hose dangling about. We paired it with one of the newer Campingaz dual regulators which also has quick release function:
Campingaz Twin Connection with Gas Pressure Regulator for Campingaz Gas Stoves, Twin Connection for EasyClic Gas Cartridges CV 300 & CV 470 Plus as well as Gas Bottles R904 & R907 https://amzn.eu/d/5I6rqGY

Bought a cello 19” TV.
£129 on Amazon.
Works really well.
All apps logged in and updated.
Runs plex through my GliNet Spitz Ax3000 router to a mini Starlink.
Nice :thumb

It’s in the EF Delta 2, USB C and pulls around 35w
So the 19 inch TV only pulls 35 watts? On USB-C? They usually come with a 12 ciggie lighter plug also, which should be as if not more efficient - any chance you might try and report back please?

Sorry thought you meant Starlink mini.
Starlink mini is around 35 w plugged into 240v
And with TV plugged into the 240v on EF delta2, it’s pulling 35 watts too.
The TV doesn’t have the 12v option.

Ouch, switch to 12v for the mini. Averaging 22 watts and I’m doing big downloads for work so it’s maxed out with a 50-100mbps stream for many hours now.

Ah man, I’ll need to buy another cable!
Where can I get one from ?
Or can I use this ?
I’m going to need the 5m of cable to run it in the new vehicle

That might work, but I went a different route as I have a permanent mount and only ran Ethernet cat 8 cable and use PoE. I bought a special splitter made for the mini that is waterproof and splits from the mini side to plug into both dc and Ethernet to my single Ethernet cable which goes inside the van to my PoE power injector and router.

Not using the mini’s WiFi as I have my Teltonika RUTC50 with Starlink and 5G automatic failover. It has far better wifi as well, including being able to use external WiFi as another WAN in the failover if desired (campsite wifi for example). I prefer having all bases covered as I work from van.

This is what I used. I already had a stepup converter from my previous Starlink:

Here's a complete unit that includes integrated step up conversion from 12V:
