Found this on the floor by the sliding door, made of rubber, about 25 x 60mm. It may not be off the van, but the sound the door makes as it comes to a stop when opening sounds a bit different ....

I don’t recognize it is there a part number on it ? It would start with something like 7h0 or 7E7

No, I think that probably means it hasn’t fallen off the van! I knew we shouldn’t have taken the bondage gear on that last trip!

You raise a valid issue, this is probably a side issue, but it’s been worrying me for a while, do you think VW has built in enough shackle points?
