Where to go on a first trip? SE England

We've just ordered our new Ocean and will pick it up probably February or March from Eurovans in Crawley.

We have plenty of time to decide, but we want to plan our first picnic stop. We were thinking Beachy Head but does anyone have and favourite spots within a few hours of Crawley?

You can't go far wrong with The New Forest.

Once you start driving then you won't want to stop

However, as it's just s picnic stop that you are looking for then the huge car park at West Wittering. There is usually a couple of Cali's parked there.

Go to the Summers Pond campsite just the other side of Horsham ( Close to Coolham). Great wash blocks, great on-site restaurant, right on good walking trails and you can pop home to Crawley if you forget something !
