WiFI connection between iPhone & Van

I appear to have managed to get the wifi connection on my van working the wrong way round, any ideas how to get it back the other way?

I have an iPhone with unlimited data
I have the van wifi hotspot with no data plan
When I get in the van the phone connects to the van for car play etc but now tries to use the van wifi for downloading eg streaming unsaved tracks from Spotify , as the van has no data allowance nothing will download.

Until I started messing around with the wifi 2 weeks ago, it worked the other way round - the van would use the phones data allowance to get traffic info etc & the phone would use its own data to stream Spotify.

It works like this whether its a wireless or wired connection via the USB socket.

Any one any ideas other than doing a factory reset?

Try asking your Iphone to forget the van WIFI.

My Kenwood unit did the same, but above fixed it. Carplay etc will still work (as guessing it’s over Bluetooth - or cable when plugged in)
