Hey all, anyone had window tints done on their ocean which actually looks good? any pictures inside and out as worried will make the inside very dark if going for limo style tints?

Recommedations around the Northampton area welcome :)

Thanks guys.

This is an example of a limo tinted van in daylight.
You might have to scroll through it for a while.
Just to give you an idea

Just had a 15% ceramic tint done today. I'm really happy with it. No pics yet as waiting for the last of the moisture to dry out.

I went with 15% as wanted a limo but didn't want a dark interior. So far it is really private needing nose against glass to see in. A bit of silhouettes visible from a distance but the inside has remained bright and airy. 15% was a good compromise between 5% and 20%. Looking at the spec sheets for the ceramic film it worked out as:

5% allowed 5% light.
15% allowed %14
20% allowed %22

So works out pretty much in the middle.

Thanks this is really helpful, where did you get yours done? also could you post pics when all aired out? cheers

Yeah no worries, I will see how I get on tomorrow.

I got them done local to me in Nottingham. https://tintr.co.uk/
I had to order in the ceramic but I wanted the best heat rejection. £300 for all rear windows.

So here is a shot of the inside. The sky is bright but cloudy. These are straight out of an iPhone and both the sky and the inside of the van look a tiny bit brighter than to the eye but pretty close.

The photos I took from the outside don't look great as there was a reflection from a house making it really hard to see what is going on. I didn't see that untill I got home so will take some more in a quieter spot.

looks spot on i think just enough to keep a little but of privacy and also looks nice. - looking at the inside the 15% is just right. Does the ceramic also reflect heat etc? also where did you get this done and how much cheers dude.
Yeah it feels like the right amount of compromise. The ceramic is supposed to be the best for heat rejection.

It was done here.

Using this tint

For £300

I had a 90% tint on my last Cali and even though it looked great it made the inside too dark for me.

It's worth noting that I also started with clear glass with double glazing. Not VW privacy
