Does anyone know if it's possible to buy the little plastic bit that fits in the end of the windscreen roller blind to secure it in the bracket under the rearview mirror? Ours is slightly bent and pops out of the bracket when the blind is closed. The dealer has quoted £299.40 for a new A-pillar trim including the whole blind assembly, which seems like overkill when it's only a little piece of plastic that's needed .IMG_8801.jpeg

There is a fix for that, which has worked 100% for me on both sides of the blind. I can see that your problem is identical: the top plastic stud end piece needs superglueing back and the problem will then be solved.

I will look up my post and add it to this post.

Here it is (there are several posts following each other):

I too superglued the end piece in place, which does prevent that part from escaping from the edge of the blind.
However I think - tell me if I am wrong - that the OPs problem is that the pin is bent and so it easily pops out of the hole in the little hinged flap over the mirror.
That is what happened to me and gluing the end in does not prevent the pin popping out.
It’s a rubbish design tbh.

Pin does not bend, I believe it will break before bending. I remember at first I had the same idea but thanks to tip on this forum a small drop-off glue is all you need to remedy this bended looking pin.

Link to 3D print if you know someone with a printer

The pin definitely bends. It may break in time but for now it is bent. Believe me. :headbang

Many thanks.
I have copied the details and just need to find someone with a 3D printer who is willing to print a couple.
Anyone know of one?

I would be interested to see a close up photo of your bent pin @KevH.

You definitely need to bend the whole top bit back and hold tight whilst the glue sets, but I suspect @Roger Boeken is actually correct: though without a photo I am only speculating.
