I’m not sure duct tape will cut it. Been quoted over £500+VAT for parts. Not including labour. Anyone have any idea where I can get one? EBay not overly useful today… will keep looking.

About a year ago I needed to replace a complete motorised wing mirror on my t6. Eurocar Parts did a complete unit, aftermarket not OEM, for something close to £250 (if I recall correctly). Be careful to select the right unit for your van as they also do non motorised units. Good luck.

Bad luck. Been there. But remember, nothing screams "poor workmanship" like wrinkles in duct tape.

Exact same thing happened to me in November - the idiot this time was an overzealous rubbish truck driver zooming past us on a London high street. Had to replace the whole mirror unit, which came up to £600 incl paint, fitting etc. Has DAB, side assist etc. fitted in the mirror housing too...

Suggest you look at Halfords stick on glass as a temporary solution. I had one on a VW Sharan for years. No idea which one https://www.halfords.com/motoring/car-accessories/replacement-mirror-glass/
