Years and towbar frames

Hope anyone can help my t6.1 didn’t come with a towbar I mensioned getting one fitted to a family member and they actually have one in there garage but it came from a t5.1. I know I’d have to have the electrics done but unsure frame will fit van as can’t see a part number on the frame can anyone help

Firstly, that is a fixed hitch towbar rather than the VW factory fitted Westfalia removable hitch towbar.
Having said that the Part Nos of the factory fitted towbar has remained the same from 2010 to 2020, as far as the online Parts cataloge that is use goes.
So, you have a good chance it will fit, but you really need the correct wiring loom for the T6.1 and the vehicle computer coded correctly.
Check out P F Jones for wiring loom etc.

No it's not, I'm 100% sure thats the removable one and the plate on its states Westfalia...........

I think you will also need the foam filler piece for the rear bumper?

No it's not, I'm 100% sure thats the removable one and the plate on its states Westfalia...........

My mistake, was looking at the photo on my phone and only the last photo was show. On the iPad I can see the attachment and the other photos, So, that should fit. Hopefully the keys are still with it.

Thanks for the reply’s. I collected it last night for £40 and was just hoping someone would reply telling me it would fit.
as for the electrics yes I shall be getting the correct loom a get it coded.
Only downside is the key is missing to be able to remove tow bar go in to,take it to a lock smith and hopefully they can get it off an get a new key.

Hi all, it’s probably been discussed a million times but I can’t find a definitive answer. I’m wanting to add the westfalia towbar to my 21 plate t6.1 which according to the build sheet it has trailer prep from factory. So that ticks the easy box as such. The question is around the removed...
