Thanks

Yeh. Bought it five years ago from the guy who started the mk1 golf owners club. He bought it ten years previous and started the campaign register to find out how many were left, which evolved in to the mk1 golf owners club.

You might have seen it before. Was on a few things back in 2003 / 4

Link for those who might have wondered what a campaign had that a normal gti didn't !

I'll admit it's my favourite but Cali is a close second ;)

Looks awsome mate. I had a Lhasa green mk1 and a black convertible
Still my favourite car. Put an Audi 80 engine in mine when it went bang :thumb
Hope the Cali don't go bang :barmy :barmy

Few pics from my recent run to Applecross. If any of you are over the west coast of Scotland check this road out. Mental.

I had a mk4 R32 from new and LOVED it!

My Dad had the 7th mk1 Gti in the UK then one of the very last a bit like yours. Great cars!!

Brings back happy memories as well as thoughts of puddles in the rear footwell!! All of my mates with mk1 golfs suffered the same fate through dodgy door membranes.

Now proud owner of a mk6 and a Sharan.

Also bought my R32 new in 2003. Was the second new car I'd ever bought, the first being a mk4 gti a year and a half earlier. It's just turned 20k on the clock and I'm ashamed to say done less than 150 miles between mots last year! Don't have the heart to sell it tho. Probably a keeper now along with the mk1.

That's cool. 7th in the uk. If you know the reg check out the register on the OC website. Never know might still be on the go somewhere, and possibly the later model.

Wow a mint classic and a future classic...

Amazing cars mate

To have two thats just greedy :clap :thumb

Wish I still had my VR6 Storm, E30 M3 and Mk1 Gti. Hindsight :headwall

VR6 Storm & E30 M3 - now we're talking. Would have either now. Any pics?

Had a E30 325i Sport for a while and loved it.

Any other members with something interesting past or present?

If we are talking other VW's then my list is endless from my rental fleet, but here's a couple of the more interesting ones;

180 Kombi

Caravelle Edition 25

(Sorry can only find a library pic)

However my wife has this, GTI Edition 35, which is quite good fun, and it should be, its 300bhp!(REVO);

My wife won't drive anything else, bar a golf. She loves them, and to be fair so do I, such a great all rounder . We have had MKIV and MKV R32's, MKV GTI, 2 x MKV GTI ED30's, MKV GT SPORT. All DSG :D

I like those front lights on the ED25 :p

Same lights as on the kombi :thumb

I love the MK1 above. Very nice

My first introduction to GTI ownership was a Mk2 GTI16v D92GSP, when I was 18, loved it.

Your right Oli can't go wrong with a golf.

Had a couple of 8 valve Mk2's but not a 16v before. Oak Green I remember being a very nice colour.

Really like that Kombi too. Got to be the van of choise doesn't it?

Anyone with a British classic hiding in the shed?

I'd live a oak green big bumper 16v as a restoration project.

OMG! I had a lachs silver (G773 YDL) mint and black 325is, wicked lsd. Six branch scorpion mani and exhaust, open cone filter... Sounded amazing.

Will have to scan in some good old fashion 6 x 4 prints... Lol

Have a rather nice Audi RS3 now :D

Uhhh....perhaps not what was intended by the OP but here is MY other vdub, taken in it's natural environment, let's got to work etc. :D
