Hi Just a quick question, why do you think VW insist on having you to take extra key fobs when you take this extra, four in total at an extra cost of £70 of hard saved cash ? Whats your thoughts. Thanks Glen

Just a way to make more revenue. Stick with a manual door 4 x keys is unnecessary IMO.

Thanks for your replies so far, Yes i agree extra 2 key fobs £70 its not a deal breaker I still think great if four people in van come and go as you like, Key each. As I said to the salesman its just me that will be driving and using the cali. At the end of the day. PS The cat might come on short trips

I think you may have made the same mistake that I did (we collect ours this week so will find out). I think the extra money is (4 key) fobs, rather than 4 (key fobs), ie to open and close the side door you need 4 keys on the fob, rather than just the 2 to open and close doors. So I think you still only get 2 fobs but with more buttons!

No, you get four fobs with the electric door although I fail to understand why. The argument that it is one for each passenger doesn’t stack because each would still need a key to unlock a manual door.

It’s a great deal ,I have the 4 key option and lost one recently at Bus fest but thankfully was handed in to security so I was relieved beyond words and so great full that someone took the trouble to hand it in ,I had asked the Key cutting chap at the show how much to replace it ,£125 ! If he could do it ,he said it’s aVW specific part and could not be copied so I guess would be very expensive.
I’m loving the electric door option although I have had the dreaded marks on the wing

Hi Glen I bought the van new in July ,then after just two weeks noticed the marks on the wing ,I took the van to my local dealer (VERTU Hereford) they asked VW for the fix which involved replacing
