Personally I'm out when it comes to BBQs. I like the idea just never that bothered about burnt food with the chance of salmonella![]()
The problem is people forget that bbqing is cooking and cooking is a mix of science and creativity. It takes knowledge, skill and experience. So people need to put the effort in If they want to be successful. It’s not rocket science!Personally I'm out when it comes to BBQs. Use an electric hotplate at home or on EHU, no mess no fuss and no salmonella.Personally I'm out when it comes to BBQs. I like the idea just never that bothered about burnt food with the chance of salmonella![]()
Looks great Ely but not a moist succulent Pork Pie.
obvs with lots of jelly.Looks great Ely but not a moist succulent Pork Pie.
Hey Karlos, you're right but I can bbq a pretty good home made burger without leaving the garden. I tried making pork pies once and they turned out okay-ish. It was a lot of effort and looking at the ingredients nearly gave me a heart attack, never mind the calorie count! Best to leave it to the experts and stay in the dark about such things.Looks great Ely but not a moist succulent Pork Pie.
I had a look on their website and everything they sell looks so good. I think I need to start saving now in prep for our visit and make sure before we go I charge up the batteries to power the fridge and get a new coolbox for the overflow.Hey Karlos, you're right but I can bbq a pretty good home made burger without leaving the garden. Skipton's a bit of a trek from East Mids but I think once stopovers are allowed we'll find somewhere to stay over and go to Stanforth's as a destination. I'm happy to queue all day for a good pork pie.
I've been cooking a lot out in the garden since lockdown started. As we couldn't go campervanning I put a tailgate awning in the garden. It's just the right size for the dead space in front of the garage - 2x2m and nice and tall.

It's housing most of my outdoor cooking gear apart from a stash of charcoal and wood which is in the garage, cast iron pans which I keep in the house and my Roadii fire pit/tripod thingy which is in the garden.
I like cooking over flame (any fuel but especially love free, foraged) and charcoal.
BBQ week, bring it on.
