Cali topper

Brand up internal isotop insulation for the pop top. Insulates and darkens for a comfortable sleep. Stops moisture getting in. Baffles sound from outside a bit. It stays in situ when you put the top down. For super warmth you could always put a Calitopper externally as well.

Liner and topper for roof as mentioned above. Also the Brandrup Isolite Extreme for windows (excellent for keeping internal cool in summer and warm in winter).
And window vents to ensure airflow and reduce condensation.

You could always have a peek at thaissl.com.

They also have the premium roof cover (2 or 3 windows) and Pop Top Thermal Insulation.
I have the external premium roof cover with 2 windows, and I really like it. It is very easy to put on (with 2 persons), but it is quite bulky for stowing away. And a lot cheaper than all the other brands. But maybe quality wise it might also be a bit less? Don't know.

Topper keeps snow and ice out of the mechanism.you could also use electric blanket if you have hook up. But I found that was overkill and too hot inside for me.i have heko wind deflector and keep the windows open about 1 inch for vents

Have not seen the isolate extreme so will investigate that. For us it’s more Importantly about keeping our dog cool in summer at festivals. We can put on extra clothes in the winter, but he can’t take his coat off in summer.

I’ve had them in the Cali overnight on the driveway and when external temp was 22degC and sun on Cali all day, it was still refreshingly cool inside late afternoon. They come with velcro to fasten around the window which I didn’t use as was sure it would get clogged with dog hair, I just slip them behind the Cali blinds. Expensive but extremely effective.

I had a look. It’s very similar to some internal window insulation I have already. I have cab windows sorted with ones made for VWs and I can use the cover from our previous van on the back. Just got to think about the sides. I know a company that sells the insulation fabric and makings.
I’ll do a separate post on all that soon as it will be a lot cheaper than brand up, I’m sure.
