Gocycle off road

I know there are a few happy Gocycle owners on here - and wanted to ask them, what's it like off road? It's advertised as a city bike, but it does have limited front and rear suspension it seems - so wondering whether a bit of light bridleway use is possible?

I hope so, because my search for ta lightweight folding bike that can also be used for dirt/gravel paths and light off roading has so far proved pretty unfruitful.

Hi, I have an ebike business and we are hoping to get some more off road oriented folding e bikes later in the year. In the meantime we have the MiRider One which does have basic rear suspension and are great value. Discount available for club, message for a code.https://www.tekmotiv.co.uk/product-page/mirider-one-folding-e-bike

I’ve got a GoCycle2. It’s not got much suspension however it’s got nice fat tyres which take out some of the bumps. I usually ride it on the road and just occasionally on tracks or across grass, but it’s definitely more of a road or cycle Lane bike. Probably ok for gravelly footpaths, but not for rocky pothole adventures. Very nippy though around back lanes where the motor really pushes you along. Doesn’t fold up as small as a Brompton, but fits easily into the trunk of a car and is fairly quick to put together. (Btw I’m thinking of selling it if you are looking to buy one, as I’ve just bought another electric bike for longer trips)

It may have a bit of suspension, but it also has 16 inch wheels and a single gear, so totally inappropriate for even light off-road use surely?

What bothers me most about the MiRider though is that in reality it's just a Cheap £550 Onebot S6 imported from China that's been rebadged and had some components upgraded at an additional cost of £800 more. No doubt these components make it a better bike, but if you look at the advertising, you'd be forgiven for thinking it was deigned and hand made in the UK, to the extent that they've stuck a union jack on the frame. And in my opinion that's very misleading and certainly doesn't inspire trust from me.

Strangely enough I’ve just been reading this.
