And today a sketch of a van appeared at myvw webpage. My dealer still doesn't see anything in the system, just build week 12. Funny stuff!

Me neither, although I’m pretty interested in sagy’s order. We ordered a Coast in the first week of November 21 so we are only a couple of weeks apart in the ‘queue’. The only ‘order number’ I have is from the dealer in Liverpool which isn’t accepted at login. Phil
Spoke to my dealer in Reading, UK today and now have a confirmed build start week 11 (w/c 7th March). Trying not to get too excited but could be April delivery……

I’m a late July order and have seen at least one July order for an Ocean get his build date over on the FB page - so heartening. I try not to bother my dealer too much so generally just get in touch start of each month, so back end of next week will hopefully find out more. Only info I have is “April build” and he said that is all VW will tell them, so I’m not sure if that is waffle from him, or others getting build numbers month in advance is waffle from their dealers, but… As long as it is here May/Early June I’ll be a happy bunny. Will revert when I get more info in a week or so. I don’t have 4M or Tow but I do have just about every other option on the card, so who knows…
I ordered mine in June 21 and have just received an email from the broker to say that it would be built next month (March 22) and “The dealer has advised that for certain vehicles they are not currently using the normal production codes. They have production months that they are advising so it is difficult to tell if this is confirmed.” I haven’t been given a build week and was told they are now not doing this on some orders and would only inform once actually built. I have previously been given three different build weeks 7/21/17 and it all sounds a bit strange to me so not counting on anything.
Nothing new, I ordered 30th June and got the VW acknowledgement email a few days later. Emailed dealer at the end of Jan who said it was status 10 for week 20 (1st week of May). He expected it should move to status 20 (confirmed build) sometime this month and would update me accordingly.
Interesting. I ordered on exactly the same day (Liverpool) - an Ocean 204 4M. I've been advised that the vehicle is still not showing a build week, but on the last factory update (whenever that was ?) it was sheduled for March
TBH that sounds fully in line with everything I was told. VW (they said) will not give out any build weeks until they are 100% sure it's actually going to be built and will just tell the dealer the month they will "endeavour" to build the vehicle in. For July orders that seems to be April, so for June March lines up with that. We were told that the April date was pretty reliable but until VW advises otherwise it could be the first week or last week for build. The bit we watch daily/hourly/by the minute is that things do seem to be speeding up across the board. So some vans are coming early/faster (here and in the 6.1 forum), factories are getting back to normal and the supply chain is starting to flow again. The main issue still remains as chips and that is likely due to China still being very strict on COVID measures. Other factories are getting back to speed second and third tier suppliers who supply items like tow bars etc should be less of a problem.
I was told initially at order "officially" VW were saying expected March / April delivery but realistically the dealer said more likely May.

this is so sad for you, vw as a company are truly terrible at dealing with its customers , totally shocking company to deal with , and i always wonder why? it so doesnt need to be that way ??that is a very nice california, love the rims!
Oh, yes: one day it will arrive… but those that claim not to have looked at delivery times or didn’t “chase” it, I do not entirely believe
We ordered August 2020 and got one delivered in the wrong colour in April 2021. Although it was a very nice one, we had chosen a different colour and the dealer ordered a new one in the right colour… at the moment nothing can be found to check or even find our order (only our signed order form at home) and I assure you: you will look if there are changes on MyVolkswagen or if everything is still blank… (note that there was a timeline with everything on it until end of 2021). I look once a week; before I just waited (and then the wrong colour came) but since then I followed it up once in one or two months but since the end of 2021, I look once a week to see if the data is back online. Neither dealer nor Volkswagen Belgium know anything about it.
I'm indeed waiting -because there's no other way- but if it ever comes I'll probably have waited here the longest of all for our new coast as we ordered it.
