Insurance WTAF?

So myself and the better arf had (deffo past tense) a multi-vee-hick-ule policy with Aviva.

As per usual the renewal comes through at a stupid price. My Golf is fine, other arf’s Evoke is bonkers £.

I call them to negotiate, usual story short, I cancel the Evoke and leave the Golf on the policy.

Payment fails to go through due to lost/replaced card at some point in the previous 12 months.
I’m unaware.

Letter arrived informing me the policy has been cancelled and I owe a cancellation fee of £75.

I call and request the policy be reinstated/I pay on new card.

Aviva opo refuses to quote me on renewal price until cancellation fee is paid.

I point out this is bollox and how do I know I will accept renewal price until I know what it is?

Opo insists cancellation fee must be paid prior to quotation.

I tell opo to stick his/her cancellation fee up his/her @rse.

New policy elsewhere.
