I only answered as I follow Arsenal and have supported them since I was 7 years old, but should have known better to respond to your jibe about them ,however it did annoy me a bit as I am sure the ageist jibes and some other remarks are annoying others who you are probably not intending too.

On the whole I tend to enjoy your posts, but sometimes it would appear that you shoot first and ask question later ?

I wondered what spanners issue was with my sport related posts and was intrigued to discover he's pushing 70. It just seems rather odd that he feels the need to dig when he clearly doesn't actually participate in any of the sports I do and love doing. If someone keeps sniping at me because of them, I'll bite back. And I fully understand playing football but will never get why people obsessively follow a team they have never played for and speak of them as if they are one of the team.

"We" did well, etc... No you didn't, the team you chose to support did well. You just watched them on TV.

I'm biting back because the mods are turning a blind eye to the obvious trolling by spanners.

As a nation we are reserved and don't take kindly to it.

I don't think it is Trolling but light hearted humour, imo you need to find your sense of humour. Trolling is much more sinister and normally wishes the person actual harm.

If you read your posts it does appear that you like to give it out but do not like to get it back, and when you do there is always a danger that you will kick your toys out or take your ball home and ask to be removed from the forum.

I am going to ignore the comments re supporting a team as you clearly don't do team sports or you would understand the camaraderie involved

Yes I do "do" team sports. Rather than just "follow" them. If we concentrated on playing football rather than just pretending its a way of life without actually engaging in the sport, we wouldn't be such an embarrasingly rubbish nation on the international stage. Sadly the sports we are good at get drowned out in the media by trivial football nonsense.

Yes Bern, so you keep telling me. I post if I feel I have some useful input or need advice.
I don't follow others (why was spanners reading the surf section, or the spotted in the SW section?) and then harass them.

However a few of you clearly think this following and sniping is somehow okay because of some deep seated chips on your shoulders.

I don't get it; it spoils it for all the enthusiasts here that use this forum properly.

Most of your posts have a certain narcissistic element to them,just go back and read a few the evidence is there for you to see

If you do go back you will also see by your own hand that you have had an inferiority complex with DSG over the years. And quite a few disagreements with people over it ,there is nothing wrong with manual 180's it's just that DSG are far better .

I think its poor, really poor. However I can see it appeals to some. Yet I don't constantly dig at those that lack options we have; which is most of them.

Squad getting better each season. Alexis is deperate to get going too I read. He was a fantastic buy, his work rate, never lazy. Can't complain about our squad, just hope we have no serious injuries that are usually a result of us not being where we should be!
