After trying various systems including something similar to the one from Kennywdv we no longer put water in the tank . My unskilfully putting water into the van close to the electrical input plus carrying 20 or 30lbs of water around seems pointless when we always camp on authorised sites and it’s easy to nip out and fill a bottle or jug from a nearby tap.
After 23 years of the Cali we go for simplicity.

Our solution. Food grade collapsible watering can with thin extended spout that fits right into the tank. It holds 9 litres which is enough for a few cups of tea!

Yeah these are great. I really need to get a tap installed out front but in the meantime I’m using one attached to a 25l jerry can to fill up at home and there’s minimal spillage. I also carry a 10l jerry can with a similar spout and hozelock attachments in the van, the blue hose and connector come along with us and I use that for topups. Overengineered for sure but water filling is one of my pet hates!
