The interior socket U11 & USB not working

Hi,

On the "supply island cabinet module" (the bank of switches with 2 pin socket and 2xUSB-C on the side of the sink) in my T6.1 Ocean, neither the socket nor the USB are working. Both light switches for the cabinet are working correctly, so I suspect a fuse, but which one? I have looked at the diagrams available and the manual, but it is not clear. I can pull each one and check, but thought someone here may know.

As a second related question, what else is powered from the inverter, if most lights, etc. are 12V?

Thanks,
Liam.

As @Sad says, the 2/3pin only works on EHU.

I think your terminology is indicative of not quite understanding the electric and batteries.

This is for a 6.1, later model.

You have two "leisure" batteries. They power everything behind the drivers seat, and also your 12V sockets. This includes the "inverter" that is on the drivers seat, which will only take 300W devices on newer Calis and should be used sparingly. The inverter is effectively a step up transformer that takes the 12V battery power and converts to 240V/300W power, but it will drain them if not used carefully and can also, on earlier inverters, generally the 150W ones, goose some chargers (sine waves, won't bore you).

You then have one "starter" battery. Powers the starter motor, engine, head unit, basically everything from the dash forwards (except 12V sockets, still leisures).

On EHU your leisures are recharged and effectively bypassed, with the EHU connection taking over the power, including powering the plug socket on the kitchen. EHU also trickle charges your starter.

There is no real link between your cabinet lights and the USB's, but fuses are a good place to start, see above.

The fuse box and fuse amp rating will be correct but the actual fuse position within the fuse box will vary from vehicle to vehicle . Why you might ask, only VW knows.
