Hi. I wonder if someone can help me…

I recently bought a GC600 and I have a suspicion that the control panel (on the wall outside the shower) isn’t working properly. None of the three buttons down the right hand side appear to do anything and whatever I try I can’t get the van into camping mode.

The instruction manual is very vague. I wonder if someone could describe (video maybe) how the unit is supposed to work. I still have 8 months of warranty left and I would like to be able to go to my local VW dealer who have little experience with the GC with evidence of what mine should do but doesn’t..

First step is a power cycle. Turn the red switch in the utility cupboard off for 10s then back on. See if that helps.

I would suggest you do not have the latest version of software. My control panel did exactly this from new (right hand buttons wouldn’t respond) and it was only last year that a new software update finally cured it.
If your GC is still under warranty I would request it gets the latest software update which fixes the control panel issues and a few other things too.

As Gordon suggests a power cycle will help but the long term fix is software update

Hello,
Power cycle works also fine for me in such a case.
Furthermore, i 'm not in a hurry to upgrade the software version since i discovered the electrical heating works in the truma E6 even if i haven't purchase the option..

Hi Anddle
You have a Truma 6E (Gas & Electric) and can therefore choose the one you prefer, depending on whether or not you have a 220V electrical connection

Thanks all for your advice. It’s booked in to get the fridge sorted next week so I will get the software updated then.
