Just a big thank you to this forum really!

My button started to fail and with a couple of upcoming trips, I was a little worried we’d be without a working roof and/or the fridge/heating etc.

£10 for a button from the forum’s shop and this YouTube video
plus a £8 set of torx drivers and the job was easy as anything, very satisfying and only took 15 mins from start to finish.

Great result and thanks to all who have contributed on the numerous threads I read prior to doing it.

Hi can you point me to the Forums shop? "£10 for a button from the forum’s shop"

Thanks to the Forum shop for the replacement button and the link to great video on how to remove the control unit I now have restored the functionality of the control unit. Now if I can resolve the issue of the intermittent unresponsiveness right hand side of my Discovery Media screen as easily I will be very happy!

Well done.
The fault on the Infotainment screen is well documented as a failure of the Digitiser . As you coped with the Control Panel you should have no problem fixing this problem DIY.
